Title: Rad Rover 6 Plus - No output wattage or error codes
Post by: wray on January 23, 2023, 07:45:14 AM
Looking to troubleshoot my Rad Rover 6 Plus. It's turning on normal, reading speed, but no output from the motor with pedal assist or throttle.

So far I've narrowed it down to being a temperature issue as a ride in winter. The bike works flawlessly in cold weather but as soon as it warms up a bit the problems start. It's not the brake sensors as I've replaced the brakes with better ones so the sensors aren't used. All wiring checks out fine.

Only solution I've had so far is pedalling then turning on the bike and the motor will engage. If you stop any wattage output through PAS or throttle, it won't come back unless you turn it off and back on again while pedalling.

Has anyone had something similar and find a solution? Rad has not been helpful in troubleshooting and defaulting to sending me replacement controllers/wiring which are out of stock.

Came here hoping to find an answer to a similar question.  I started a rather cold weather ride a few days ago and the motor just stopped about three blocks from my house.  Battery at 80%, all wires connected.  No idea what happened.

I do store my bike in an unheated garage most of the time, so I figured it might be due to cold.  This has never been an issue in the past, however.  I fired it up after a few days in the house, and the motor seems to work fine.  Still wondering, as I don't want to get stranded on my 13+ miles commute on mostly rural roads.
