Title: Replacement battery
Post by: abhiroopb on July 02, 2024, 03:41:00 PM
The battery on my RadMini ST2 is no longer working and I'm looking to buy an alternative. Something that doesn't require any rewiring but has a higher capacity.

Thanks!

this is what i recently got.  pricey but all quality ones are.

I also picked up adapter from electro world.

no rewiring.  plug and play.

FYI I have a ROVER 5 that I did the battery upgrade on.  It looks like you will have plenty of room on the model you have.

Thanks, but the pins look different to the ST2. How will it fit?

Yes the adapter from Electrobike world converts it.
The battery comes with a new cradle as well. 3 Allen wrench screws remove it.  I just needed 2 to replace it.  I pulled the wired and the excess was zipped tied to the frame.

Very easy upgrade.  I get better range and maintain higher speeds longer.

You will not find another battery to fit in the stock cradle you have unless you buy another Rad battery, BUT Rad doesn't have upgraded batteries that you are looking for.

have you checked the fuses on your existing battery?  There are 2 on the bottom.  That can cause your battery to no longer function.

But if you are looking for more range you have to buy an aftermarket battery.
