I think RAD has different batteries depending on your model.
At the risk of sounding silly. Does your battery have a key?

which model do you have?  My RAD rover 5 got stuck and I used a rubber mallet on the bottom of the battery to remove it.  Turns out the battery connector and the battery cradle over heated and swelled.  I had to replace the connections.
