Hello VictorJay. Yes I have had this issue. After decades of riding road bikes and then a recumbent I was concerned that I could not get the proper leg extension on my MiniST2. I have only had it a short while but I quickly found out that you don't have to have a perfect leg extension to enjoy riding a RAD.
I've set my seat so I can just touch the ground with my toes. Lean to one side and I can put my foot down flat. I set the derailleur for the speed I want to ride and use the throttle to start out. Once I start moving, I start peddling and the electric assist kicks in. While not having a full leg extension felt odd at first it did not take me long to get used to the new position. I have set my seat back as far as possible and I now ride in a very upright cruiser-like position and enjoy the scenery, even at 20mph.
