wow, that plate provides a ton of protection for those exposed wires/cables.  i too installed the tannus liners & put on the cascade plate during that process - regardless, the protection provided by the skid plate is necessary imo & not the place to wimp out because of hard-to-access screw mount.

General Chat / Re: Tannus liner tube blowout!

same experience here - i recently installed tannus armour w/ the included tube (purchased as a bundle from the rad site) in a set of kenda krusade sport 20x4's that replaced the stock 20x3 cst big boats on the most current model radmini & got a flat my first time out - no tire damage, no liner damage.  upon inspection, the tube was faulty & the seal failed @ the valve stem attachment point - very disappointing & frustrating considering that the purpose of the tire armour is to prevent the dreaded flat yet they provide tubes of such poor quality. luckily i had the tubes from the stock cst's i had changed out & they were clearly of better quality.  i contacted rad customer service (including a couple photos) who immediately stepped up & are sending me a replacement tube; they are def now aware of the poor quality tubes that tannus is sending w/ the armour bundles.

you can just let some air out of the rear tire to access the fender mount screw instead of removing the entire wheel.

For those who remove and carry their Rad batteries around...built like a brick outhouse:

I use a Grove Tools Quick Release Seat Lock...lock the seatpost AND block removal of the battery the same as it does on the taller RadRovers:

I experienced one downside with the Grove seatpost lock though....broken down for transport.

@radjohn - thnx for such an informative & descriptive post.  after purchasing a $200 cane creek thudbuster seat post & realizing a replacement battery pack from rad would cost approx $650 after shipping & taxes, i decided that i needed to especially secure these items to my bike so i completely followed your lead.  your description of the items & your experience was spot-on right down to the seat twisting slightly necessitating the Supergrip Carbon and Alloy Assembly Compound which solved the problem.  thnx again.  btw, all for less than $50!!!
