Rad Modifications / Re: Rad Runner Premium headlight ???

Has anyone found a good 3rd party headlight that can use the onboard headlight connector on the Rad models? Riding this time of year makes me realize how much I value an effective headlight.

I need to get a security skewer for the front tire on my radmini stepthru 2. Rad support let me know that i would need to look for a security skewer that is 135mm long. The as delivered quick release version has a 9mm quick release. Has anyone added a security skewer to their rad mini and felt satisfied with the fir and function?

Just sharing my experience.  Many panniers are smaller on the bottom than on top.  I don't think many of us has experience with this type of bag.  I did not.  During riding the contents will bounce around and go furhter and further down the bag (the funnel) until they are all tightly squeezed on the bottom.  Maybe this is good for camping.  But hardback school books, phone, iPad, laptops, calculators, papers, work stuff, will all get scrunched and wrinkled.  I am not much of a camper anymore and I use the panniers mostly for work.  I would definitely get something with a square bottom like a grocery bag type pannier to keep my laptop and papers from getting scrunched.
Helpful perspective,. Thank you!

I am planning to purchase a chain lock for my new mini step-thru 2. What part of the bike is best for looping a lock through? The rear is possible but an easy frame cut for a bike thief. Has anyone regularly passed their lock through at the base of the battery where there is a loop of thicker metal?

I am also looking for recommendations. The rad branded pannier bags look undersized for a grocery run. Wondering if larger ortlieb bags would end too close to the ground or hook your heels when peddling.

Does anyone have the folded width size for the mini step-through with pedals removed?

Terrific guidance, thank you! I am going to put most of my battery rechargers on auto- turn off timers and will make sure i don't leave any rechargeable battery packs in the garage over the winter.

I have seen some disturbing video clips of runaway battery fires on e-bikes. Any guidance on best practice to reduce  chance of fire?

The secondary battery lock is a great trick! Do you leave the lock in place while riding?

Thank you for your very helpful reply @JimInPT! The photo helps to understand how this all works. When you lockup your bike, do you have much trouble getting the frame of the bike and the bike rack bar all within the "U"? Do you have to take the battery off to successfully lockup your bike?

Thanks for the video, Rad does not make it easy to see this bag option on their site. Do you think a 13" laptop in a zip-up cover would fit safely in these bags? It's about 11"x14"x1". Do you think using one bad that is heavily loaded makes bike balance difficult for a new rider/commuter? Trying to determine if left right weight ballence is important with pannier bags.

Opinions on the convenience, usefulness and protection level for BORDO GRANIT X-Plus™ 6500 and other locks. If you have a st2, how/where do you mount your lock while riding?
