I highly recommend using studded tyres in winter, at least in front.

i wouldn't sweat it. EBikes are very much a forward industry.

unfortunately, most industries suffer through layoffs and such in down economies, which is a way to better improve a company's chances to make it through those down times.

Here in Finland seeing more and more eVehicles. Now it is just the downhill what Russia and Mr. Putin started in the Ukraine. We will get better after we have done with Putin.

Yeah, I love too the simplicity of the mechanical brakes. And yes mine is RadRhino my 2019 750W EU version.

In my case like I mentioned there is quite a lot dirt inside, so removing only the cable is not possible (have tried it) or recommended, anyways not a big deal to change the whole thing. Just bough a spare one, just need to find the time to change it.

The Youtube is full of tutorials how to do this, so no problem there. You might not even need that pricy custom tool, since it is a standard Bafang hub motor after all isn'it it?
And honestly the Rad's support is really my last choice since their prices seem to be higher than in a regular bike shops :)

Also looking for replacement, RadRhino/RadRover 2019. I have had hard time finding the 11-34T cassette anywhere, now considering if I should buy two sets and combine one correct one from them...
Anyone knows where to order? I have not contacted the Rad support yet, but will do.

After quite about 2 years and 4000+ km (2500 miles) my RadRhino's rear brake cable is hardly moving. Dirt, sand, dust etc. inside, can hear it well when trying to move the cable by hand.
Now trying to figure how long the whole set (cable + housing) is, should not be too difficult to change though.

So yes, it is a design fault in my opinion to place the rear brake caliber like this way. :(

General Chat / Re: IS IT A 750 WATT MOTOR OR NOT???
September 15, 2021, 12:09:17 PM
My 2019 my RadRhino EU 750W version got the G060.500 500W motor, checked it from the Bafang customer service. I'm planning to open it soon after some 4000 km on it, so I can add new grease to the  gears and check everything is still good. Interesting to see if therr is similar model and mfd stamps on mine too.

I have been thinking the same, but without knowing how much amps the controller can give have not done anything yet.

Service & Repair / Re: Rad Power 6 Battery Not Charging

Ask again from the support, they are there for you. If by email, you could send them few photos showing what your battery looks like.

There should be fuse or two somewhere, but perhaps insidw the battery case. Only Rad Power Bikes knows.

My RadRhino 750W my 2019 has the Bafang G060.500 hub motor (500W). So it is possible, although my guess is that if the bike is sold as a 250W version it does have the 250W motor not 500W. Just because I guess the 250W is cheaper?

You can verify which motor you got, just send the motor serial number to the Bafang support.

There are solutions like this available, not sure how good they really work in real:

Maybe similar to this would do?
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Hailong-Battery-Case-Power-Lock-Key-For-Hailong1-case-Hailong-1-2-battery-case-/173796563998

Has anyone tried those Hailong batteries if they  work with Rad?

Offtopic, but it would be more than interesting to know how your Rad bike has survived doing such high mileage? Perhaps on some other topic here. I've done around 1500 miles on one year so far, all working still great.
