I'll quote Brittany Spears and say "oops I did it again....".  Stuck the key in the battery charge port this morning when I got to work...spacey lately dealing with some family issues.  I'll be doing another fuse replace again.  And this time putting lime colored duct tap over the port when not being used.  I wondered about the person who said he'd done it more than once...now I get it.  I just hope the zap doesn't discharge the power left so I can get home!

RadCity / Re: New Tires

I just ordered a pair.  They ship from Washington State and are due to VA by Friday or Monday.  Not too bad.  What was amazing is if you need help, no phone tree.  Someone answers directly.  It was almost surreal.

You guys are awesome.  And thank you for the suggestion of putting the single pannier on the car side of the bike to make yourself a little "bigger" to cars.  Great idea.

Posting this on the specific RadCity forum since the general one just got hit with about a 1000 spams.

Have a RadCity 5....Love love love it.  I bike to work when weather permits - about 5 miles, city roads and some hills.  I have a briefcase bag with computer (about 16 x 12 x 5 inches) that rides strapped in a Hoobbii rear basket that is starting to split.  It's not bad for the ride...not too wobbly or anything.  (I find the front rack more dicey for heavy things)  Debating on switching to a Pannier bag to carry my work items (computer and tablet, wallet, etc) or to get that larger rear rack Rad sells or something else.  I like the idea of the Pannier (like Arkel) but worry it will make the bike feel lopsided.  Or that my feet will hit it.  I would love feedback from commuters and what they prefer.  Thanks!

Yay!  A non-spam question today.  I hope it doesn't get lost.

I have the RadCity 5.....LOVE LOVE LOVE it.  But yes.....eat your Wheaties and work out because it is HEAVY.  That said, still doable just know you may need help lifting if putting on a bike rack.
I have an air tag....you can buy gadgets to attach and hide them on the bike.  Other forums talk about hiding places.
Lock - Have  a Kryptonite NY lock and the Kryptonite Cable.  Agree you should be paranoid...these are nice looking bikes.  If possible, pop the battery and take it with you.  Bike could be stolen but the batteries are costly and lack of one could be a deterrent.  I take my bike to the store and lock in a visible place with cable and U lock.  If I take it to my new job, despite they have a bike lock up cage, I may pop and take the battery with me into the office anyway.
Display - On a sunny day I haven't had too much of an issue seeing it.  It definitely is not a deal killer to not see it well.  The bike is fabulous regardless.

My biggest wish is they would have a QR code sticker to put on the bike so anyone who's interested could just scan and go to the site for that specific bike.

The only thing I love more than my new RadCity is this forum.  You guys are the bomb.  I have a non-charging battery likely due to this and one that will be like you said, probably a month away.  Ordering what I need to change the fuse and will report back.  Thank you everyone for such great info!!!
