I managed to adapt the same Topeak adapter to the rear rack on my RadMini ST2. This rack was hard to get (still not sure how I managed, since it had been on back-order for several weeks here in Canada, when a window of opportunity opened for seemingly a few hours, theclosed right back!

Based on the specs this will not fit as is on the rear rack that got shipped with the Rad Expand bike.

Any suggestions, DIY mods to make this work ..I am not very savy with mods - so would like your input to check if this is worth investing time in and could it work if there are ways to secure it to the wider (170mm) rear rack ?

I looked at the specks and also read as much as I could but I am not able to decipher if the Topeak MTX BEAMRACK (A-TYPE) : https://www.topeak.com/us/en/products/249-MTB-BeamRacks/135-MTX-BEAMRACK-(A-TYPE) will fit a Rad Expand bike - still trying to see if I can make the MTX system work for me for quick rel.

Had a quick question related to -  Top Peak MTX hard side quick rack bags with panniers & required sliding racks (Had to order the slide racks from Japan & they came in two days, freaky) - were you able to mount Topeak MTX on Rad Rack ?

Can you share some pictures and what sliding racks did you order...

I am not an experienced user of bicycles with gears ..plus have always ridden bicycles on flat terrain in Florida. I have had a Schwinn bike bike in the past with Shimano gear system and the one of RadExpand is micro-shift - so just wanted to hear feedback from experienced users on gear system on RadExpand.

Also if there is a beginners guide on efficiently use gears - please share a link

Thanks Kari for sharing the picture..I did not try the large size may be the straps on the large size are longer and will fit on a cloud-9 seat and the seat post as you have shown. My main problem when I tried was that I was not able to wrap the strap around the bag and thru the seat to get a secure fit - the straps were short.

My current sunset spot is 2-3 miles away on paved road ..so thought it would not be that bad to carry camera gear in front or rear basket given its already packed inside a padded camera bag.

This is awesome to have a separate forum for RadExpand..

I have been extremely happy so far - this is my first eBike and I haven't done much cycling in the last 10 years..have enjoyed getting back to it a lot.
I do 8-10 mile rides and so far the battery life has been excellent.

Will soon try to tune up my bike either myself or a local bike shop if I am able to find one with a quick turn around time.

Eric thanks for your insights and encouragement to do it myself..will give it a try.

RadPower recommends that the bike be tuned up at a professional bike shop after the first 25 miles after self-assembly..is this essential to be done or is there any alternative.
Hard to find bike shops in our area (FL 32771) that are not very busy and are able to have a turn around time of 1 day.

Also what should be covered in the 1st tune up esp. if you visit bike shops that don't normally service rad power bikes.

Anyone share their experience with folding rad bikes after installing the front and rear baskets ? I checked with Rad customer service and they mentioned it would not make a difference but its hard to visualize how the folding will work after installing the baskets ..

Would we have a new section for RadExpand bikes or continue in the Rad Mini section ?
