You might give it a couple days (unplugged) to see if it rectifies itself. If the fuse didn't short the battery will re-set itself and work again. Failing that, you can take it to a bike shop that specializes in ebikes. Sometimes there will be a tech who knows the ins and outs of batteries like this one and they can open it up and do the replacement part. At MUCH lower cost than a new battery. It's how I had to discover mine didn't short itself. Everything checked out fine. And then magically--it began to work. A RAD Tech told me the new generation batteries will do their own reset. Assuming the battery has not been damaged.

General Chat / Re: Do not use Tannus Armour on e-bikes

I've had Tannus in multiple ebikes. Including both of my current Rads (Rover 6 Plus and City 5 Plus) with original tires. So far so good.

According to the web, there is an oversupply of traditional bicycles right now.

I like Rad and hope they do well.

RadRover / Re: Water bottle mounting for radrover 6+

I have the Gzila that connects to the front stem mount, but locates to the side of the from stem. The virtues of this mount include you can adjust the angle which is really handy for removing and returning the bottle; it liberates handlebar space for a phone mount otherwise the handlebar gets too crowded; high quality. The one negative is cost. But I really like mine. So much I have one on my Rover 6 Plus and my City 5 Plus.

I have a trunk bag with fold down panniers (same trunk on each bike). I keep a heavy U lock and cable in one bag on each bike (I have a City 5 Plus and  Rover 6 Plus). I don't notice anything.

How To Information / Re: Bike Lock

I've got a RR+ but I've been using a Kryptonite Ulock and then a cable through the wheels if I'm going to be a long time.

This is also my locking system for the RR6+ and RC5+

How do you attach it to the rack?
[/quote]

Velcro straps

I paid $70.00 but you'll see it listed for over $140.00

I have the SEYMOUR OCEANWEAVE TRUNK on both my RAD City 5 Plus and RAD Rover 6 Plus. You can find it at much better pricing than from the company itself. Great expandable trunk with drop bag panniers.

rjp--here is your post on this thread, August 22:
"Don't waste your money on the Tannus Armor, Get Mr. Tuffy liners and use Flat Out tire sealant."

Tree--apologies--I did indeed cross some wires here.

i don't suppose i'm part of either crowd - i simply don't have them :D

But Tree--you advised all RAD owners on this forum not to buy the Tannus. That makes you part of the anti-tannus crowed to my way of thinking.

I've had Tannus on several ebikes (including my current City 5 Plus). I'm having them installed next week on my Rover 6 Plus. I've had nothing but a good experience with them. No effects on the ride or anything else I've noticed. Except.....no flats! Which is the point. I have nothing to say about other systems. My experience has been with Tannus and I'm very pleased. YMMV.

I appreciate the details. No reduction in range on how far your battery will take you?

No reduction in range. No effects on ride. I?ve had them on 4 ebikes now (2 Treks and 2 Rads). There has been no impact on mileage or ride. If anything a slight improvement in ride quality but I have no independent way to verify this so I can?t assert it as fact. What I do know without any doubt is????..no flats! Which is why I bought the tannus. The ride and battery mileage are unaffected. As I said, if anything, the ride is a bit better.  Of course there are other options. So if you subscribe to the anti-tannus beliefs you don?t have to install the tannus liners. That in itself it a beautiful thing. You get to be the boss of you.

This info needs to be compared with RAD's competitors because they all have suffered from supply chain and staffing issues. All of them. The need for employees is stressing many businesses at present. I know several businesses that simply cannot get qualified people and this has been a problem persisting since Covid. This isn't to excuse any legitimate complaints Rad may deserve but is meant to say let's compare apples to apples.
