Thanks for all the great ideas and the link to the Etsy store, I think I found something useful linked from that first shop. In regard to setting a timer for the batteries, is it better to go that route rather then leaving them charging for hours on end?

Thanks

Hello all, thanks for the help on my first post regarding locking suggestions.

Wondering if anyone has any ideas around battery dock/storage (wall-mount) while charging. I?m think of making 2 docking stations close to an outlet, where I can charge the batteries while not on the bike. Perhaps there?s a third party solution? Or I will make a few cradles out of wood as that?s one of my backgrounds.

Thanks for your time.

I have a MiniST2; this is my quickly-accessible folding lock for basic casual use:  https://amzn.to/3mnxEQI perhaps yours is the 110cm version of this?

For more-secure situations (extremely rare where I live), I have two more ABUS products:  this lock  https://amzn.to/3zjM780 and this cable, to handle lampposts, trees etc.  https://amzn.to/3NgNfO1 - below is a photo of how I have the latter two mounted to my small basket; the folder is on the bottle-holder mount.

For very-casual situations (coffee stop with bike in sight, for instance), I just push the remote button to set this alarm hidden under my rear rack:  https://amzn.to/3tcmand

The big U-lock and cable are gross overkill solutions for my small rural town, but bring peace of mind and can handle most needs no matter where my bike roams, hopefully with me on it.

Happy riding!

Thank you very much for responding, great information to build off.

General Chat / Secondary lock suggestions

Hello all,

Happy to be part of this group after purchasing a Radcity 4 for my daughter and I to navigate the city we live in (Vancouver, BC). I purchased a 110 cm ABUS lock as a primary lock, but have seen suggestions of getting a secondary lock to perhaps lock up my rear tire to the frame as a deterrent. Can anyone suggest one for me, or perhaps any other suggestions you may have for locking up the bike. Look forward to hearing your responses.

Thanks!!
