Still loving the Speedster?s. They really have increased the enjoyment I get from my Rover, big time.

Anyone on here had their tires pop? Does this really happen suddenly or is it a slow steady leak?

It goes BOOOOOM!! Then you are riding on the rim and hoping the tire and tube don?t wrap around the wheel and gear cassette locking up the rear tire. Like mine did.

Where you get the tires from? I may get them when my tires wear out.

RadRover / RadRover5 tire swap to Speedsters
September 10, 2022, 07:10:58 PM
RadRover5 tire swap,

From: factory Kenda Juggernauts 26 x 4.0
To: Vee Tire 26x3.5 Speedster Fat Tire 90-559 Folding Bead Silica Compound 120 TPI

INSTALL & OPINION.

To say I am happy would be an understatement, I am ecstatic. These tires are freaking perfect, virtually ZERO noise, silky smooth handling, pleasant cornering & and they ROLL. 30 psi is just right.

Install was a breeze, took less than an hour. Old Kenda Juggernaut tires came off easily new ones went on with no problems either. I would rate this a 4 on a 10 scale in difficulty.

Turns this bike into a Cadillac! A total Sedan DeVille.

No durability info yet but I foresee no problems there. I hear they wear like tank treads.

My Radwagon4, Bolton 35A, IRC tires, Thudbuster seat post, & more fun stuff. I love my tank.

Check your connector on the new controller for a bent pin. I?ve seen on another forum that can be a cause.

Could not find a front bag to suit the rack on my RadCity4, until I chanced upon an Ozark Trail soft sided cooler at Walmart. It is a nice fit, has an abs liner, is relatively sturdy, and inexpensive. And- it is a cooler, with all the benefits inherent. Problem solved.

I am thinking of making something work on the rear rack, maybe a dual setup. I will post images if it does not look like ass.

RadWagon / Battery Compatibility
July 15, 2022, 10:27:39 AM
Will the battery from a 2021 RadRover5 work with a 2022 Radwagon4? There?s a good deal on a RadRover5 in my area and I wouldn?t mind picking it up if it has a compatible battery.

I too have had the same problem, except only two tubes in two days, the second failure was catastrophic and with less experience on a bike could have been a lot worse. The tube and tire wrapped around the hub when they blew out at about 20 miles an hour causing the rear tire to lock up. I am fed up with all of the reports of tire failure and have decided to switch to motorcycle tires. I have tried to contact rad on three separate occasions and never got past hold. At this point I would find it very hard to recommend anything that they sell , even though I love my Radwagon4. I guess it is just going to take someone getting seriously hurt to get rad off its butt and do something. I certainly would not feel very confident if I had purchased this as a kid hauler.

It would be interesting to know how many of you existing and new RW4 owners have suffered tire failure. It seems to be a widespread problem. Is this something RAD should address?
