Service & Repair / Re: Display

Is the odometer all that's missing? All other info is present?

Also, did you get that pinout from EggRider documentation? I'm curious to know how you determined it, because what you have is what the EggRider documentation says, but I found mine to be unexpectedly different. I took my OEM display/connector apart, and my pinout is (using the same numbers you used):

1 - VBat (red wire)
2 - Rx (green wire)
3 - Power lock (blue wire)
4 - Tx (yellow wire)
5 - GND (black wire)

I cut the display harness and probed the pins in the connector to see which wire they were connected to to get what I have above.

General Chat / What is the OEM motor controller?
July 06, 2022, 01:53:14 PM
Based on everything I've read thus far, I am pretty sure RPB uses rebranded off-the-shelf electrical products. I know the display is a Kingmeter SW-LCD-U, but for the life of me I can NOT find any info on what the OEM motor controller is. Does anyone know? Thanks in advance!

PS Just going to throw this here since I get this response to every question: I am not looking to upgrade anything. I know you can swap out the controller for aftermarket components. That's not what I'm after  ;D

More than likely need to set the indexing of the derailleur. Pretty easy process if that is the issue. Coming straight out of being shipped, it almost certainly needs to be adjusted before riding (unless assembled at a shop) as things are bound to bang around a bit.

Hey, have the same problem here, except mine has gotten so bad that I can no longer boot the system (can't use the motor anymore). What ever happened with yours? Did you get a replacement display, and if so, did you get it from RPB or from a third party?

RadRunner / Re: SW900 LCD display

Hey, did you end up trying this? I am looking to replace my display since mine broke, and I'm hoping to get a unit that doesn't have the configuration lock-outs that the ones from Rad have. If you did buy one/had success using it, where did you buy from?

So as I've been digging, I found that the radpower display is apparently a rebranded Kingmeter SW LCD (aka sw900) with some configurations locked. I can't find any info on if the s900 I linked above is any different than the sw900.

Has anyone used a sw900 on a rad bike (with everything else stock)?

Still trying to get to the bottom of it.

Dead Display on city ST3

I'm unable to use my bike's electrical system because I cannot boot the display (it got waterlogged and I believe something shorted/corroded).

Rad's website has the LCD upgrade for the runner and mission, but those only have 4 PAS levels. I think I would be fine with losing a level if that's what that means, but I'm not really sure how compatible those are with other models.

I also found this display:
https://a.co/d/10jnbub
which is clearly modeled after the rad display, but it doesn't explicitly claim to be compatible and has no written reviews.

Has anyone else gone through this process of getting a replacement display? Has anyone tried either of the displays I've mentioned on a 5-PAS-level model?
