No light, No Throttle in my experience.

I shredded my taillight wire and it damaged the controller remote. I replaced the wire and Rad sent me a replacement remote.  Good to go.

Thats bad luck right there!
Did you use a tourqe wrench on it last time?   

I didn't get 1k miles before the rear pads totally disappeared. Front pads weren't bad. Just the trailing ends were worn a bit. Replaced them with pads from Rad.

I'm 150lbs with alot of pad hungry trail descents on my Rover6. 

Padded shorts worked fairly well with the stock seat while riding amongst the cagers. Off road,  it was quite the hindrance. 

I swapped out the stock with my 30yr old
mtn bike seat. I'm 5'11" 140lbs without ass. I have to wear suspenders to keep my pants from sliding off...tmi.
Anyway, I'm sitting solely on my butt bones which is way comfortable for me and it's easier to move around without getting jammed up off road

It looked silly at first being so small and all,  but now when I look at old pics with the stock seat,  goofy.

They didn't have the 3000 when I purchased the 1800 version.  The light works great but the mounting bracket is absolute dodoo.

The thing is.. I went searching for replacement studs and read the description on the Dillenger web site stating that the Dillenger4 60tpi is not ebike ready due to excessive torque.

I'm over 60 and don't plan on racing with them.  What kinda abuse do you put yours thru?

12 miles round trip mostly trais thru a State park. I live in New England and currently the temperatures are 70ish riding into work and 50ish coming home in the dark.  I'm pannier full of extra layers for the cold including a lunch bag, tool bag, tube, patch kit, battery operated tire pump, first aid kit, headband flashlight, bike cover, zip ties and so on.  I also added a 2nd head and taillight as backups.
 
Traveling as far as you are, the weather would be a concern.  Many a day has been forecast as dry only for me to be caught in a surprise rain shower or worse.

Your a tall guy. I haven't done much research on seat posts but this one seems to be on the shorter side. Leg extension may be a factor.
  I'm 5'11"  Long,  and pretty much have the stock post maxed out.

I'm down with that!  It's on my list.
Which version did you install? Upper, mid or low. Think I'd prefer the low myself.

 Ditched the twist for a thumb throttle and slipped on full size, locking, gel padded grips. The comfort factor increased dramatically. Climbing technicals is alot easier now, being that I'm not getting the wrist involved as much.

I use a Rad pannier on the drive side and always fall on the opposite side.  So I don't think the weight effects me.
I did lose the lower bracket and it bounces a bit.  For winter, I'm  thinking about a second one.  ROCKBROTHERS has some nice ones.

Exactly. I started in the mid-uper 20s and it handled like a pogo stick. Bike was trying to deep6 me. I went with the minimum 15p, +1 for guage inaccuracy.
It is soo..so smooth and handles better.
  I purchased some Kendas from Rad for winter. They have a minimum 5lbs! It's gonna be fun.

I ride 6 miles to my 2nd shift job. Less than half road and the rest.....
