RadRover / Re: Remote and Display Malfunction

I had a display issue out of the box too (the display in the middle of the handlebars).  Luckily I contacted Rad before their customer service went AWOL.  I'd had a LOT of compliments on my bike and people asking me where to get one.  But I've been telling ALL of them to avoid Rad because of their obvious current customer service issues.

RadRover / Re: Rear rack alternative for RR 6+

Unfortunately, no.  I tried the Ibera rack that's mentioned as working in a post on this this forum, but I can definitely confirm that it DOES NOT work even with the extra purchase of extended arms.  So I went with the Rad rear rack.  Luckily I got it before they jacked up the price to $99, although I still had to pay for shipping.  I did a LOT of research, and as of right now, there's not a rear rack that works with the RR6+ besides the one that Rad offers.  I'm guessing they raised the price of the rear rack when they put a sale on the the RR6+.  I get a LOT of compliments on my bike and people ask me where to get one, but I ALWAYS tell them to stay away from Rad since they seem to be going out of business soon.  My bike is still under warranty, but I doubt they'll be able to honor it if needed.  Good luck!

You might want to explain which model Rad Rover you're looking for parts for.

We have RadRover 6+ Step Thrus and the Ibera PakRak Touring Carrier Plus+ (IB-RA5) worked (along with their top-mounted bike bags) IF you also order the longer extension rods. They have a good deal on the bag/rack combo and the extension rods were only about $10 each. You can get them at https://ibera.info.

The racks are ALMOST level with the ground -- the if the extension rods were 1/2 inch longer, I think it could be made perfectly level. But the slight decline towards the seat is hardly noticeable.

I'm sorry, but even with the longer 11" rods, the rack isn't even close to level on a Rad Rover 6+.  Do NOT get the Ibera PakRak unless you want to fabricate your own solution for the extension rods.

I've used Flat Out in my RR6+ tires after seeing/reading good things about it online.

General Chat / Re: Insurance for e-bike thoughts?

I was able to get my RadRover 6+ for just $10 a year with my renter's insurance.  Check with your renters/homeowners company to see if they'll add it.  I thought that maybe it only covered theft directly from my apartment, but they told me it's covered on the road to in case anybody breaks the lock and steals it!

Service & Repair / Re: Central display problem

I had the exact same problem with my Radrover 6+ right out of the box.  I called the company number and they shipped me a brand new one at no cost to me, besides waiting patiently for it.  The replacement is working as expected.
