Rad Modifications / Re: Dual Battery

I am running 3 batteries in parallel. The team at Grin Tech (ebikes.ca) said I do not need a balancer box since they are all 48v. Assume you need that if voltage is different, but then you run off the lower voltage anyway. They were right. over 1200 miles and not a single issue. The 2nd battery (14ah) hides in the center storage box of the rad runner 2 and I have a huge plastic crate from Uline as a basket holding a 3rd battery (reention 11.9ah) that one has the bms turning it off after a few min of bike off so I can press the button on it to turn it on if I want. And I regularly charge all 3 from the stock battery. I know some say this is wrong. But no issues with heat or anything. I can also charge all three separately if I am pressed on time.

Hope this helps... The 2 extra batteries are good quality from salvaged rental city bikes that people rent at stations hence I got them for a great deal. Believe they came from Vancouver. They are not knock off Alibaba kind. Meaning, there is always a risk of fire with lithium batteries. Safer to not leave plugged in overnight or park bike away from flammable objects.

-Rad Runner 2
-Grin Base Runner controller
-Cycle Analyst screen
-G62 Bafang 1000w rear
-Magura MT7e brakes for safety (amazing brakes with soft feel, can use one finger)
*Adding front regen motor and phaserunner controller next.

Seems really cool. Did you do all the upgrades yourself or did you pay a shop? I'd love to add another battery bur I'm not sure how.

Site looks clean and is easy to navigate. I personally like the "eBike Essential" packs that you have listed. For people who are new to eBikes or even biking in general, I think that pack is a good place to start and will cover many people's needs.

Although I am not in the market to buy anything now, you had some products that caught my eye.

Great site, and if I were to stumble upon it without knowing you, I would feel safe and secure buying something from there.

Hope this helps.

I've done the same thing, but the brackets that came with the bike seem too loose. Did you use something to tighten them on the handle bars?

Thanks for all the relies.

Honestly, I'm not too sure why its happening, but it doesn't seem to be an issue. The ride is smooth, and I have no real issues or problems.

I'll take the bike for its first tune up in a few months from now!

Thanks again everyone.

Rad Modifications / Eggrider V2
May 10, 2023, 05:48:04 AM
I was looking to upgrade the stock display of the radrunner 2 and the LCD display from Rad seemed nice, until I came across the Eggrider.

Well, I just got the Eggrider V2, and its amazing. The display really unlocked the power of my radrunner 2, with basically a plug and play installment. I know there is the 35 amp controller, but I wasn't looking for much more speed, but rather torque.

I've only had it for a day, and I only did short test rides because I'm sick, but I'm really excited to go for a ride on my baby!

I think you've made some really good points and suggestions.

I haven't noticed it before and I have used the throttle with the kickstand before, but admittedly, quickly and just to show someone how the throttled worked.

I did deflate the rear tire recently to add the rear fender, and during the job I used bungee chords to hold the tube falt so I can could my hands in there to screw the bolts. I'll look up how to check the spokes as you suggested. Thanks!

So I've noticed that while my bike is on its kickstand and I use the throttle to check if everything is working smoothly, the bike starts to shake violently. This is a new behavior. Any ideas? Is it safe to ride? There is no wobble or issues while riding. Link to a video in my google drive:

Thanks!

I am upgrading my controller, and could sell you my stock radrunner 2 controller, once I get the upgrade.

This looks awesome. Did the headlight require any wiring or did you gut out the headlight and place the stock light inside of it?
