There has to be a way to hack the controller. Maybe going through the USB port with a computer. Just don't see them changing hardware for differences in geographics.

I just pulled the lock. I know I have a rad runner Plus and it's not supposed to fit but I think I found a way to make the frame / Cafe lock work.
Here are the instructions for the lock https://radpowerbikes.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/13543448514203-Rad-Fat-Tire-Wheel-Lock-and-Security-Chain-installation-instructions
Click the link for the installation instructions.

And then on Amazon I found this product byAbus that I think will work. I realize this is a little bit of an expensive experiment but I really want a frame lock.

Wish me luck [emoji1787]

Tomorrow's the last day to get some money off the rad fat tire lock.
I also found out this lock won't fit my bike the rad runner plus.

I'm a little hesitant to go with another battery that is larger not manufactured by Rad. This is simply due to all the fires that have happened.
Do you have the new charger or the old charger for your bike?

I've always thought about adding a spare battery that is not connected under my rack of my runner ?.
I was just going to use the battery rack and then slide the battery on it but I didn't know how to securely attach the battery rack to the underside of the rack. The battery would also be hidden from view due to the large  panniers I carry. I also want to use my bike as a commuter on city streets.

RadRunner / Re: inverted pedal assist

Was there something wrong with the old controller?
How much of a difference was there between the old controller and the new controller?
This is a little out there but did the new controller win powered reverse polarity of the pedal sensor?

I need to replace my battery and I saw that there are new chargers now on rads site.
Does the new battery charger run cooler than the old charger? What are people's experience with a new charger and is it worth buying one?

General Chat / Rad Fat Tire Wheel Lock experience

Has anyone purchased the fat tire wheel lock from Rad especially to a rad runner plus?
I have wanted one of these Cafe locks for a long time and they are extremely beneficial to commuters.
How easy are they to install?
What's your user experience with the lock?
Do they rattle while riding?

General Chat / Re: dry lube

I use Muc Off dry lube and think it works really well and lasts a decent amount of time on the chain in dry conditions. If it rains you really need to apply it again after drying your chain. It seems easy to wash off with water.

I'm seriously contemplating upgrading my seat post to the sun tour suspension post. I only use my bike for commuting so I never go off road. I take it that it is well worth upgrading to the suntour post?

Out of curiosity how many miles are on the motor?
Did your motor give any hints that it was dying?

I just replaced my rear pads on my runner plus at 1300 miles with all of that as in city commuting. I should probably do my front pads this week.

I have five stairs to ascend with my runner plus. I use the crossbar and I find the bike balances really well even with my panniers on with no groceries in. Normally when I'm leaving it's got my work clothes in with my New York kryptonite lock.

The important thing with a step through is you have a choice to swing the leg or not lol
