Rad Modifications / Re: Broken Light Mount
Last post by John Rose - October 06, 2024, 07:27:25 PM
Without knowing exactly what part is broken, and if you are not overly fussy about appearances, I find that plumbers metal strapping is super useful for all sorts of improvised repair parts.

It's easily cut with tin snips or hacksaw, has a lot of ready-made holes for screws or bolts, and can be shaped with pliers. Get the thicker type for less vibration. It's usually galvanized mild steel, but you can get it in copper.

The last time I used it was to hang up some outdoor lighting strings around my deck.

On your RAD there are just 2 wires.  Red and Black.  Makes it easy.

That said there is a guy in London trying to sell his battery $200US as he can't ship it back to the states.
He is listed on this forum within the past few days.

Service & Repair / 2019 Radwagon 2 - replacement ...
Last post by Mykidsdad - October 06, 2024, 08:53:23 AM
Good afternoon all; some villains made off with my Radwagon battery while the bike was parked outside a shop at the end of August. I've ordered and paid for a new battery from Rad EU (I'm in England - (it goes from bad to worse)) and they've not delivered. I'm going for a new battery from an alternative supplier.
Looking at the connectors on the bike at the bottom of the battery holder there are 4 pins - two large, two small. I'd assumed that two are pos/neg and two are for the BMS - does anyone know the wiring connections or have a diagram to help? Any info gratefully received - thanks in advance  :D.

Rad Modifications / Broken Light Mount
Last post by bmcnurlen1 - October 06, 2024, 08:00:30 AM
I have a RadCity from 2018 and have the small front-mounted basket. Because the original light didn't have a mount once the basket was installed, Rad sent me one of the new, brighter lights that's now standard. To me it seemed light a heavy light for the small mount point and the small bolt, and I could never seem to get it tight enough to prevent the light from falling down or falling backward. I added a lock washer and it helped for a while. But after a year the plastic mount broke. Probably my fault from overtightening, but also it seemed like an engineering flaw to have a relatively heavy light balancing on a small fulcrum made of plastic. I now have a light that works perfectly fine but no good way to attach it to the bike. I've thought about crafting my own housing for the light but I'm wondering if others have had this issue and what solutions they've tried. I'd rather not buy another $40 light, particularly when it has what I perceive to be a design flaw. And when I have a light that works fine. The electrical works fine. It's just the mount.

If any of you local UK owners are looking for a battery for a Rad RHINO 5, Ive got one, as I shipped my bike to the states but they wouldnt allow me to ship the battery due to being a lithium.  Will sell for 200 USD or 150 GBP.

General Chat / Rad Rhino Battery available in...
Last post by vmicraig - October 05, 2024, 06:45:26 AM
Im stationed in London with the military and unfortunately shipped my Rad Rhino home sans battery, as nobody will ship it due to being a lithium. Not FEDEX, not DHL, etc. New ones area  firtune to, so its truly a bummer.

As such, Ive got a battery for sale - I also posted on the classifieds, but often people just don't look there even if they need something, so thought I'd put it here too.  If anyone is looking for an extra battery in nearly new condition (200 miles total use), please reach out at vmicraig@gmail.com

Rad Power Bikes Classifieds / RAD Rhino Battery for Sale in ...
Last post by vmicraig - October 05, 2024, 06:39:54 AM
Hi All, I live in London and shipped by Rad Rhino back to the US. Unfortunately, the battery cant be shipped, so I have no use for it here in London where I am stationed with the military.

If you or anyone you know in greater London is searching for an extra battery that has only powered my Rhino for about 200 miles before I shipped the bike off, I will sell it for $200, which is clearly far cheaper than anything available on the market, Rad bran or off-brand.  Of course, they would need to be able to meet me somewhere in London, as it cannot be mailed or shipped.

Thanks! e-mail me at vmicraig@gmail.com
