Rad Modifications / Can anyone help with the speed...
Last post by Wyatt - January 04, 2025, 01:57:11 PM
So I got my new Radkick 7-Speed a couple months ago and it goes 20 which is okay but I can definetly feel it can go faster. I know that on some RRs you could remove the speed limiter so the bike would go faster. I figured out how to reach the controller and there are a bunch of black wires with one red one but I don't know which is the speed limiter. Could someone help me figure out which one to cut? Thanks and here is the picture --> You cannot view this attachment.

YOU might need to install a diode for it to work.  I had to do that on my Moto Guzzi Motorcycle when I installed an additional flashing brake light that would not work correctly when the brake was actuated.  You have something along the same lines.  You are introducing a new flow to the electronics with a non standard light.

Quote from: AOJAMES on January 02, 2025, 10:59:59 AMCorrect. It's listed as working with the RadExpand 5 Plus which is what I have.
??? Uh . . . What?
The word except means that it is not compatible with the RadExpand 5 Plus (for whatever reason).

Update: Yes, they both fit, but you may have to let the handlebars stick out over the side.
We line them up so that the handlebars are in the middle, so as not to rub against the upholstery.

Is that the "Premium Headlight"? https://radpowerbikes.ca/collections/accessories/products/premium-rad-headlight-2020
It sez:
QuoteCompatibility
All Rad ebike models except:
RadExpand 5 Plus
Radster Road
Radster Trail
RadWagon 5
Rad ebike models produced before 2018.

They do not say if it's due to any mechanical mounting conflicts, or the electronics.

My guess is that batteries cannot be repaired, only the connectors. If the battery cells are bad, they are done for unfortunately

General Chat / Rad Rhino 5 Battery avail in L...

Hi All, I live in London, UK and shipped my Rad Rhino back to the US, but couldn't legally ship the battery. I apologize for posting again, but after I posted a few months back, two interested parties fell through. (Battery: HTE 48V 14Ah-672 Wh Lithium-ion).

So....if you or anyone you know living in or near the greater London area is searching for an extra battery that powered my Rad Rhino 5 for about 200 miles before I shipped the bike back to the States, I am asking $200 USD or OBO, which is clearly far cheaper than anything available on the market, Rad brand or off-brand.  Of course, you would need to be able to meet me somewhere in or about London, as it cannot be mailed or shipped.

Thanks! If interested, please e-mail me at vmicraig@gmail.com
