can above product be used on bike chains safely?  it was recommended by skunk lock to maintain a working keyway.

thanks

I'm not sure I would use that on a chain. I'm going to assume it's pretty thin stuff due to it being used for locks and apparently in  the description it leaves a white residue.
I guess worst case scenario if you do use it you can always just clean it off with biodegradable degreaser

as veggyhed stated that type of lube is likely too thin for bike chains.

i've had the most success using dupont chain wax -

Just remember with an aerosol lubricant to make sure it's stays well away from your brake system. I personally do not use aerosol lubricants on my chain.
I use Muc-Off https://amzn.to/394IJA8 dry lube. I live in a fairly dry climate. If your climates fairly wet I would use the wet version of this product.

If you ride in a dusty environment such as California, this bike chain lube from Finish Line is the only option. I use this on my downhill bike at Northstar and my road bike on the trails. After every ride, I recommend rinsing the transmission and chain. You will find that the dust just washes away without leaving grease like other chain lubricants. Reapply after rinsing and drying. This is how I keep my bike running smoothly in the CA dust.

Best advice so far. ^

Stay away from weird non bike lubes and mumbo jumbo like White Lightning wax. Those will gunk up your chain or run dry very quickly. I live in the Pacific NW and use Dumonde Tech or TriFlow depending on which bike. Always wipe the chain down after applying, you only need the lube on the pivots. Aerosol is another no no in my book, not only does it go everywhere you CANT see plus you are paying for propellent gas and other additives. Ounce for ounce aerosol contains less lubricant for your money in any given size.
