Is it common for bottom brackets to be a high wear item?
Our Rads are garage kept and not ridden in rain.

In 2019, wife and I purchased a RadRover (currently 400+ miles) and RadMini step (currently 300+ miles). All of a sudden peddling mine became an issue which started effecting my peddling cadence.

Removed chain and found peddle had a spinning issue. Removed bottom bracket and found it had an extremely rough and gritty feel. It was a VP 100mm x 150.5mm. Couldn't find one that exact size, so I replaced with a 100mm x 155mm from Amazon. Peddles a lot smoother now.

Decided to remove the bottom bracket from my wifes RadMini. It is rough too, just not so bad to throw off peddling cadence. Ordering a replacement for hers now too. Thankfully it is size easier to find, 100mm x 164mm, also a VP from factory.

Bottom Brackets are a high wear item yes. Cheaper ones degrade fairly quickly. Good job checking out yours.
