Radmission loose front fork inside head tube.

I have tried to tighten the front fork inside the head tube without success. Watched the Rad videos about loosening the  handlebars and star nut and retightening them in that order. Still loose, front end still shutters when I apply the front brake. Need some experienced help.

Its a simple but can be frustrating thing to do

1. Loosen the bolt holding the stem cap on- just a bit.
2. Loosen the one or two bolts holding the stem to the fork- just enough so the stem with a bit of effort will turn w/ out moving the wheel.
3. Tighten the Stem cap bolt just a bit
4. Make sure wheel and handlebars are aligned at 90 angle, Hold front brake and gently rock the bike forwards and backwards to determine play.
5. Repeat 3 and 4 as needed
6. Once its not rocking tighten stem bolts.

Dont crank down on step 3 or it gets hard to turn, there is a sweet spot.

I had the same trouble when I put a riser stem on my Radmission until I discovered, as you say, that the cap bolt tightens the fork by pushing the stem down. Maybe I'm remembering wrong, but I think my Radrunner works differently. Before I felt that the cap bolt was tight enough, it would turn without tightening any more. I guess the piece it screwed into was turning. That's okay with me as long as there's no play in the fork.
