I suspect the answer to my question is somewhere on this site. In the interest of time, if someone could point me in the right direction, I would be greatly appreciative.

I purchased (without knowing how difficult it may be to get the proper hitch) a Rad City. I NEED this bike for my health, and for other great reasons. Locating the proper hitch for an older model car is proving difficult. Uhaul and other businesses have been unable to find a Class 2 or 3 hitch for my car. What do you guys suggest?

Many thanks.

Why do you need a class 2 or 3? The Rad City only weighs 65 lbs. A class 1 hitch is rated for up to 200 lbs. tongue weight. Unfortunately, most class 1 hitches have a 1-1/4" receiver and most bike racks require a 2" receiver. If you have a rack that requires the 2" receiver, you would need to also get a receiver adapter like one of these.

Most of the adapters are not designed for towing. They are just for use for accessories like bike racks. There are even some that adapt and also raise/lower the 2" receiver part. That can be useful on a car that sits lower to the ground.
