Rad Expand 5 Folded Friction points

Has anyone else found that when folded their rad Expand 5 has a really abrasive and long Friction point on where the handle bar bend meets the white  main frame.    Really close to where the bars fold?

If so how have you figured out how to protect that point and maybe repair the metal and paint damage.  The vinyl protection wore right through... Fast. And badly😢
