Radrover5 power upgrade

Just got my new Rad Rover 5 fat bike and was a little "underwhelmed" by the power / torque.
(Its a wimp compared to my my wifes JP bike with the same 750 motor)

I see there is a Bolton "controller" that is available  (Control box and new control pad, for $219.)
My question is....  Can I just upgrade the "control box" and use my existing handlebar pad control,
or do you have to upgrade both?

You need both controller and display.

I found the new display to be better than the OEM as it lets you find tune your bikes performance.
