Extra Battery Storage or Protection

I have a 2018 RadWagon with a set of Cargo Bags.  I want to carry a couple of extra batteries with me for long rides, yet I can't see just tossing them into one of the Cargo Bags unprotected. 

I was hoping for some kind of Neoprene wrap or a bag of some sort that I would but each into and turn into the Cargo Bag...

Any suggestions?

I don't have any slick solutions here. I'd probably find a box that works or cut up cardboard and do something custom to wrap around the battery with some velcro to secure it. Maybe use some bubble wrap or other packaging for extra protection on the inside so you can just slide in and out the battery.
