How do you go about adding photos to a post?

Easy.  When editing a post, look just below the box where you're typing - you'll see a plus sign next to "Attachments and other options".  Click that, then the 'Browse' button under Attach, and away you go!  Best to check the image size before uploading, but if it's too big or too small, you can delete and re-upload.
