I just purchased a new RadRover 5 without the rear luggage rack. Considering my options for getting one and I think I have read all the threads on the topic here, but I still have a few questions.

1. Would it be recommended to get the RadPower rear rack - if that's the case - don't worry about the other questions.
2. If I go with the Topeak setup on the accessories page, is there an extension cable that I can get to mount the taillight? Will I have to remove the fender or get a different one?
3. Any other rear racks that others think are better?

Thanks everyone in advance! I love the forum!

I don't own a Rover but if you want a simple solution buy the Rad rack. If you want to save some money buy an extension cable from either of the two sources. Confirm these are the correct cables before you buy:

Not sure how mounting goes with the third party racks. If you want any additional pictures of the Rover rear rack let me know. I'm reviewing one soon.

Rad racks are beefy.  Can't go wrong.

Hello all,
Fedex is scheduled to drop off my RR5 bike's today. When I purchased them earlier this week I wanted to add the rear rack but they were out of stock with no ET of being back in stock anytime soon.  What other rear rack will work for our Ebikes? Thanks!

I did see a couple in the accessories post pinned at the top of this forum.

Do those need to be modified or are they bolt on?

Thanks again.

I got the Ibera IB-RA5 rack off Amazon. Currently it's $40. I also got the Ibera IB-BA9-PAIR Panniers and Ibera IB-BA11 trunk bag. I got everything September last year and have put 500 miles on my RadRover 5. So far everything has been fine and no issues with the rack, panniers or trunk bag. The rack went on my RadRover fine with no modifications.

I bought the IBera rack and will be installing it once the bike arrives.

Awesome! thank you for posting up.

Bikes did arrived as planned and I will be assembling them this afternoon or tomorrow morning. Charging the batteries as I type this.

Question for you, did the rear brake light cable reach the mounting point on the rack? or will it need an extension to make it mount up without putting strain on the cable itself?

Thanks again!

I installed the Ibera rack and this cable. It was a little long but worked fine: https://amzn.to/3kW6PBG

I got the 600mm cable from Amazon. Just the right length.

I went ahead and purchased the Ibera IB-RA5 rack off Amazon along with the cable which should arrive Monday or so.

Just for "S&G" I went back to Rad Power website just to see if their rear rack was available and wouldn't you know it, it was but only in the bright orange which I'm totally fine with. I went ahead and purchased one for our other Rad Rover. I should have bought two, I went back to buy another one but they were now out of stock oh well at least now I can compare the Ibera and Rad Powers rack.
