I took it to a machine shop which trimmed it nicely--don't know exactly what kind of saw. They didn't even charge me--more evidence of creeping socialism in Seattle!

Has anyone tried to 3D print their own? I recently discovered that some public libraries will allow you to 3D print there (free or small charge for the materials) but I haven't looked into it as of yet.

The price is actually not bad, but I have concerns about the open one staying on. The 3rd one from eBay is more, but looks really nice. The higher price is because it's 3D printed in two colors, and you have to switch colors while printing which can be a pain depending on your printer. And if you have a 3D printer yourself, look up "Radrunner Throttle" on Thingiverse.com to download the file to print one yourself. I might try it to see how it turns out, even though I prefer a half twist throttle myself

Hi Guys , this is my design ( Thanks LarryM for idea )

What is it that you used to fasten/tighten it down with.  It kinda looks like a grommet but it's super tiny and I can't see it in pics.  I really love this idea.  And yes backwards not forwards is unatural for those of us that haven't been using twist trottles for years😅. This is a perfect solution!
