Speed Hack Not Working

Hi All-- I'm eager to increase the top speed of my Radrunner 2, but the popular speed hack posted on YouTube -- about covering the speed regulator contact with electrical tape -- isn't working for me.  The battery power still seems to be capped at around 20 mph.  Any ideas what might be going on here?  Maybe this particular speed hack only works with earlier models of the bike?  I purchase my Radrunner 2 last month, so maybe Rad has implemented a workaround?

As far as I've read, yes indeed Rad has done something to render that mod ineffective.

I just did it over the weekend on my new Rad City 5 Plus, though it has a different controller than some other models it appears.

Hmmm.  Has anyone with a Radrunner 2 been able to make the contact-covered-with-electrical-tape speed hack work?  Or some other speed hack?--Sam
