I am about to purchase two RadMini Step Thru's for my wife and me... called Rad with a few questions but could not get a straight answer on one of the questions:

Asked if the settings changes to de-restrict the 20 mph motor cutoff to increase it to 25 mph by increasing the kph from 33 to 40 is still doable in the settings.  The CS rep would not confirm or deny...

I ask because I've seen at least one post somewhere on the web that claims you can still make the settings change on the controller but the software will not respond accordingly;  20 mph will still be the cutoff.

Can anyone with a new RadMini Step Thru comment?

Thanks!

If everything else fails, perhaps this could do it (or some other similar product)?

Can't you just put a piece of tape over the connector pin that controls the speed limit?  I did it for my Radrunner and it works.

I just got my RR Step-Thru about a month ago and I can still edit the top speed.  I'm sure it's the same controller for the Minis too.

I can adjust the top speed on my new RadMini 4, and it works properly.

That won't work unless you install a KT controller as well.

got my Rad mini step thru 2 about a month ago also, no problem in de-restrict the speed.  I was able to go 24.5 mph with it.
