Rad Rover 5 Throttle Removal & Aftermarket Options ?

Has anyone removed the rad rover 5 throttle?
Did it cause any issues after it was removed, bike functionality wise?
Anyone know of any aftermarker thumb throttle options?
What about a thumb throttle option that can be quickly installed/removed on the fly, like when you need to very quickly remove the physical throttle so the bike is a legal class 1 ebike to prying eyes?
