has anyone upgraded the taillight in their bike? I'm having trouble finding something that can be wired in to the bike and brakes, isn't tiny, and (preferably) has laser lines

What is the Voltage of the tail light?

48v is the voltage of my bike, I'm sure I could use one with an inverter or something. But I'd be concerned that the signal for the brake light might not match up

You could get a tail light extension cable and wire it to the new tail light. Have you found a tail light?

i really wish some motorcycle tail lights had built in inverters, i'm not a fan of the looks on most of the ebike style ones

$5

Mine came in seven days.  The 5  LEDs can blink, chase, run, or solid. The laser lines are solid or blinking.  3 AAA's.
