Slime and other sealants

What experiences have you had with slime and other sealants. I tried them once but had issues with the sealants plugging up Tire pressure gauges?

I 100% rely on slime and my mini tubes. They have saved me so many times but we have a huge goat head problem in the area that I live.
Recently I had a screw go through my back tire which of course nothing's going to protect from so I am in the process of actually putting in liners this time not that those will help but hopefully it will help with other smaller items that can puncture my tires.
I do use a pressure gauge on my tires religiously and I have never had it come up the valve or the pressure gauge.
