Has anyone modded their rover 6 + headlight

Has anyone removed the lens from the Rad Rover 6 + headlight? It pretty simple to do. I would assume it would get rid of that little rectangle that it throws. I have done the mod just waiting for it to get dark and try it out?

Not good, I put the lens back in. I may try another lens or maybe diffuse the LED before the lens. Seems like the LED is bright enough but the focus is just bad.
