The stator looks alot like on fitted in G063. G063 has wider gap between motor and casing but seems Bafang has maybe started using same core on both (G032&G062) motors. Difference between G062 & G063 seems to be different sizing in reduction gear system.

Has anyone got the Bafang G063 1000 Watt working with either the KT35 or the the KT45?  I am having trouble, tried all combinations of wiring, still not getting it to function under load.

Tony

I have tried all combinations of wiring with the Kt35 without success

Thanks for letting me know.  What was your solution?  Did you buy a different controller?

Tony

Bafang site recommend the CR S307.1000.FC Controller, but I can't find a supplier anywhere.

Electro bike world (where I bought the Bafang G063) replied to me with the message below when I explained the G063 is not working with my KT35 controller:

-------------------------------
We have a 35a controller, color display, motor adapter and 6pin thumb throttle that will work. Yes you need all 4 of these parts to make it work.
35amp 36-52v KT Controller | electro bike world
KT-LCD8H USB Color Display Sondors | electro bike world
Thumb Throttle Sondors 6 pin HIGO plug | electro bike world
Make sure your new motor has the same compatible plug as the adapter below:
Motor Adapter 1000w to 750w | electro bike world
-------------------------------

Not sure I believe them at this point.

I have tried just their adaptor cable from KT35 controller to G063 motor with no luck.

My plan now is to buy a G062 and swap it with the G63 until a G063 controller can be sorted out.

Just installed the G062 in the G063 casing.  Everything seems to be working just fine with the KT35.  Thanks goodness!  I guess the G063 will get put on the shelf for a while until someone figures out how to use it.

Tony

Good job, well done. How is performance?

Seems good so far (riding up and down my street). Full testing will be Monday morning on my commute to work, assuming I can get the PAS working, still needs some settings adjusted.  I will let you know how it goes.

G62 1000W works great.  I did my usually 16 mile (each direction) commute all week. It definitely out performs the G60 750W.  It had maybe a 2-4 mph bump across the board for all the PAS settings, it has more torque so handles hills and wind much better.  In general it is an improvement over the 750w.  The main reason I got the G62 was so that I could run the 35amp controller with the same settings and not burn out the motor (I burned out 4 G60's over the past few years, long story).  Still need to do more long term testing, but I think I will be good to go.

Tony

Great, thanks for keeping us informed.
