Hi,

I have 2 Rad Rover/Rhino 6's. Both new and unused.
Despite what fully charged battery is plugged into one of them, the controller says it's empty and therefore switches off.
I spoke to the dealer who told me to check both batteries in that particular bike, which I promptly did and strangely it worked on both batteries that time.  I thought the problem was fixed, however tonight I thought I would give it its first run and we're back to the beginning of saying it's flat.
Any idea's?
Thanks in advance.

So . . . it turns on only briefly, for just enough time to say the batteries are empty? That sounds like the voltage is still high enough to operate the display for a while, but it thinks it's not enough to run the bike.

And just to confirm the state of the battery, does this display say it's charged?

Had problem with Rover 5 and turned out to be fired wiring on the battery cradle. Melted wiring because of too much prolonged current running through the wiring.

Had anyone found a solution to this issue?  I have a rad 6 bike that is exhibiting same problem.  Battery is fully charged (as indicated on battery itself) but controller shows empty.  As an additional clue, however, after a few seconds of turning on the bike an error 30 comes on the screen which Ive read indicates a communication issue.  Though I checked all connections, even plugged/unplugged them all, no resolution.  Frustrating as the bike is of course unusable in this state.

I have noticed people would register when they have encountered a trouble with their bike but would not bother posting an update later. I have seen it so many times.

The closest to a positive response to Error-30 is this https://www.radowners.com/index.php?topic=1685.0 they suggest checking the throttle & brake lever connections.

There was one that mentioned a faulty PAS sensor but that was in 2020. I'm not sure if it's the same issue.

Good luck to you.
Literally is LITERALLY the most annoying word of the decade.

Thanks for the suggestion!  Ill look into that post and see if it offers any new options for me.
