Hello. New to the Forum. Hoping as I grow here I can add advice.

I'm looking at a "New in box" Rad bike that may be up to 4 years old.
What kind of condition would this battery be in?
Do they deteriorate over time or would it be like new?
Thank you very much.

Could very well be toast. You would have to load test it to be sure. Lithium doesn't like to stored empty or 100% full. It requires mindful awareness of its chemistry.

I would also add how it was stored. If your location is in cold regions, four years in non-insulated garage can't be good. It's something to ask the seller.
Consider setting some money aside in case you have to buy a new battery.

I suggest spending some time reading this forum especially the model section of the bike you are buying. The most popular topics are error codes and controller issues. There is also great discussion on batteries. It is something I should have done before ordering my bike.
Literally is LITERALLY the most annoying word of the decade.

Great info!  Thanks for the replies.
